The world today is filled with millions of fabrics. Among the fabrics available are cotton, khadi, silk, cashmere, and many others. There is no doubt that jacquard is among the most magical fabrics ever created. The versatility of the product makes it ideal for a wide range of uses. The Jacquard Collection has everything you need: winter wear, summer wear, home decor, clothing, shoes, hair accessories, etc. Jacquard looms are used for weaving jacquard fabrics, due to their special mechanism for weaving. Also the jacquard fabric is a flexible fabric which can be blended with any other fabric such as silk, cotton, jute.

Looking at the history of the fabric, as the name suggests it was invented by a French weaver Joseph Marie Jacquard using stiff punch cards. But today the production process for the fabric has changed. The computer programs are used instead of the punch cards as machines have become electronic. The modernized looms are more efficient, cheaper, and less labor intensive than traditional looms. Computerization of the entire designing process also makes modern looms more quality-intensive and less time-consuming. Aside from that, complex designs are much easier to create today. This reduces the number of repeats, since these machines can handle larger capacities.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS:

Also known as a royal and majestic fabric, the production process of the fabric is an elaborated one.

  • In order to achieve different thickness, the manufacturers spin the fabric material into the yarn.
  • After choosing the required textile, the computerized loom is set to weave the yarn in the explicit pattern.
  • The yarn is then fed into the loom. Since the design is woven in the fabric, the fibers form a network of threads for the formation of the design.
  • The finished fabric is then treated to increase the heat resistance and durability.

After the invention in the 1900s, the fabric is still a hit with so many properties too good to be true. There are so many categories of Jacquard, then also, there are some characteristics they all share. Backside floats are common in jacquard weave materials. Plus, they are:
